Favicon File Host Review - IconJ.com

Last month, I need a custom icon (favicon). It was for my other blog, I want to make it look fancy. So I stumbled around the web to find out how to create my own favicon and how to put in my blog on Blogger. It was confusing and I don't remember much what happened during that time but I finally came out victorious.

One of the problem is to find out where to host my favicon. Many free blog service like Blogger do not support .ICO file. However, it is hard for me to believe that most image hosts like Photobucket do not support .ICO file too! I mean, they host images. Why not host favicon too?

Most free websites allow you to upload favicon though and that's exactly what I do because I already have a free website on Webs.com.

Review:
I haven't personally use IconJ favicon hosting service but from lurking around the site, it seems like it's one of the legitimate, rare, free favicon host. You can even upload your favicon there as anonymous! Isn't that cool? Of course if you use a lot of favicons, it's better if you sign up as IconJ free member. There are a lot more of cool features available for members.

It hosts .ICO file only though. Don't worry if your favicon is not in .ICO format, IconJ will automatically convert your logo, pic, image and photo file into .ICO icon format. Currently, it supports JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, ICO and TIFF file formats for uploading.

As long your site has at least 1 visitor within 30 days, there's nothing to worry about. Or else, your favicon file will be deleted from the server. Hm... But I'm not sure if this apply to registered user too. Anyway, I think this website is worth at least a few tries :)
