Not A Student Anymore

At least not an official one...

But, this AIESEC thing is for university student only. I might have heard of it before but I don't really know what it is until yesterday. I got an email from YouthSays informing about their campaign. Here's the AIESEC campaign's description:

Join AIESEC Today!

IMAGINE YOURSELF...
- leading the change needed in society...
- being part of a culturally-diverse team...
- attending leadership conferences in foreign countries...
- developing the skills that matter today...
- and having all these opportunities before you even graduate!!!

Join AIESEC Today!

Sounds cool isn't it? But the banner is really yucky, not attractive at all. Thank goodness that the landing page looks way better than that banner! Click on this link to go to AIESEC in Malaysia's landing page on Facebook.

From the note on that Page, I gather that AIESEC can give students the opportunity to have awesome university experience! You want to be a leader? Or maybe you want to travel (international internship)? I haven't got a clue why attending or facilitating conferences are exciting but I suppose it has something to do with the chance to learn something new. Anyway, this opportunity is amazing, isn't it? University is not going to be boring, easy or slow by a long shot :)

They're recruiting students from Malaysia right now. I really hope my friends take it. I am really excited when I think that my friends in USM had took the chance! Actually, I don't even know if they do but still... The thought makes me really really happy!! I don't even know why, maybe because it makes me feel like I'm part of this exciting news :)

  • University of Malaya: 20 July 2010 @ Faculty of Arts and Social Science

I wonder if this is how my friend got an internship in India. He hasn't tell me how he got it yet.

By the way if you want to know more about them, you can visit AIESEC official website.

Some interesting things to note about AIESEC:
  • AIESEC is totally run by students! (Woa... a salute to those... aspiring, reliable, great youth!)
  • It has been on earth for 60 years! (Just from which hole did I come from... grumble)
  • It currently have 45,000 members and over 800,000 alumni only. (Um... okay.. I just expect the number would be bigger)
